Types of Bed and Breakfast
TYPE A Type A class B & B are the tradional Bed and Breakfast accomodation. these are typically a 2 or 3 bedroom home with some character or point of difference. The owner resides on the premise and breakfast is served and included in the cost. TYPE B Type B class B & B are the larger establishments with a minimum of 4 guest rooms and upwards of 12 rooms maximum. These properties have a seperate guest dining quarters and individual guest retreat. Breakfast is tradionally served and the owners are in residence. Type B properties offer the guest individual point of difference experience.
TYPE C Type C class B & B are simalar in size and guest numbers as a Type B class property, with the difference in the guest quarters located in detached cabins or retreat huts. This is an increasing trend with new properties as this provides both the owner and guest with added privacy. The detached cabins are generally self contained though these properties can be operated with meal service or as fully self contained quarters.
